What to do if you’re not happy with your care

Everyone deserves safe and high-quality care, including you.

It makes no difference whether you get care in your own home, a care home or a hospital – you should get good care. Friend and family carers should care for you safely and kindly too.

But sometimes things go wrong with care.  For example, if your carer or supporter

Regularly turns up late
Says unkind things to you
Takes your money or things
Handles you roughly
Doesn’t help you when you need it
Gives you wrong medication

Then you should tell us. Even if you are not sure, you can call us. We can look into it and help you. It may help you to talk about this with somebody else.

You can tell someone you trust and ask them to help you and/or tell us. Tel: 020 7527 2299
